The last four years at North Greenville University have been amazing season of my life. I will always consider theses years as some of the best years of my life. I had amazing people around me to hold me accountable and who loved me unconditionally. I will especially remember the "Three Philosophers." Nathan Arms and Alex Smith are my best friends. We have had some amazing experiences and countless memories together. Each one of us brought a beautiful gift to the table and with that were able to call one another out in Grace and Love. Nathan and Alex thank you for being amazing brothers in Christ to me and strengthening my walk.
The weekend before labor day I had the privilege to be apart of the joining of Nathan Arms and Lauree Brown. I was honored to be apart of their special day. It was a beautiful ceremony. Lauree you looked radiant on your wedding day. I have only been in a few weddings but this one was special because just about everyone in the bridal party has been in community with one another for the last fours at school. We have done life together really well by challenging each other in our walk with Christ, praying for one another, and just being available. The wedding was very special to me not just because my best friend was getting married but also because this is the last time I would see my friends in a year. So in my heart there were multiple emotions going on as I was thrilled to be apart of this wedding, I was also sad to miss their first year of marriage. I am so excited about coming back to the states and see where the Holy Spirit leads them. I know Christ is at the center of their marriage.
I view Nathan and Lauree's wedding as a cap stone to a great a season of my life. most of the bridal party just graduated from NGU with past May. The Lord has called us in all different directions, which is beautiful. It just shows me that each one of them are seeking the Holy Spirit about where God has called them. I am so proud of each one of you! Nathan and Lauree moving to Wake forest for seminary, Afton and Kerri working at churches, Sarah moving to Maryland, Alex and Hannah are getting married (which I better be Skyped in for), Katie getting a job, Lauren going to grad school, and Celeste going on the World Race as well. Jesus is moving us in beautiful direction.
Thank you Lord for the last four years and the people you have placed in my life. They hold a special place in my heart. Jesus be with us as we seek your face in the next season. May we be people who walk in your spirit and seek your Kingdom first.
Love you Guys! I will be paring for each one of you.
I am sorry I did not get this blog out earlier, but I am posting it from the airport in Hong Kong.
