CampThe creative title surely drove you to read this blog
immediately. I mean it’s just so grabbing; how could it not? My lack of creative writing skills aside, I’m
writing this update to give you a little glimpse of how training camp is going.
First, I have to say that the people here are awesome. I’m very excited about
our squad, and I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through us!

God has definitely been teaching me some cool things over
the past few days. One session was on rights and expectations. It was very
challenging. When Jesus was on trial, He had to give up his right to be right. Obviously Jesus gave
up everything for us, but I had not thought about how hard it must have been to
have to give this up. He could have instantly proved exactly who He is to his
accusers, but he chose to give up
this right! This was not a lesson I wanted to hear. I don’t want to have to
give up my right to be right! If I know I’m right, I’m going to let you know it!
However, as Christians, we are called to give up our rights for the sake of the
Kingdom. We must be willing to do what is best for others instead of being
consumed with what is best for us. (Philippians 2)
