Im finally back! I have been looking forward to this moment for a long time. Being home has been amazing so far even though I have had a migraine every day. Feeling the carpet on my feet and on couches that aren’t all torn up. The wifi is amazing here and you can do anything on it! The food has so much taste that it is too much for me sometimes. The weather here in Cleveland still sucks but hey, theres nothing you can do about that one. People have been making me feel so nice and welcome. Everyone has been asking me questions all about the race and some times its hard to know where to start and what to tell.
So, everyone has also been asking me all about my new girl friend Rachel Nehring. I met Rachel on the race and have had the privilege to be living a little bit of life with her now for the past nine months. We both liked each other pretty early in but we wanted to respect the rules of the race and our leaders, so I waited to ask her to be my girl friend until we got back into New York City. She is a very awesome girl and you all should meet her when she comes here to Cleveland on the 15th of May. We plan on helping my dad preach the sermon at Heartland Community Church on Sunday, May 21.
A couple months into the race there were a lot of offers for me to go on missions trips all around the world with different people and organizations. I have been praying very, very much on what God wants me to do at this point in my life. I have been offered to go on a month-long missions trip to India with Rachel and people from her church. I believe that out of all the offers that God wants me to go on this trip to India.
If any of you guys feel called or lead to support me on this trip, even though Im not going through any organization or through AIM, I would really appreciate it. If you want to help but you aren’t in the right financial place to be able to send me any donations then please pray for me and the fundraising and the trip. Prayer is the most powerful thing we have in this life and I believe that if we are doing Gods will then He will answer all the prayers in amazing ways. Thank you guys for all of your support and I can’t wait to post some blogs in India so you can see how God is moving there also!
Lastly, I would like to let you guys in on some of what other things I believe God is putting on my heart. I can’t believe Im saying this and for all you guys who really know me, you won’t believe this either but I believe God is calling me to go into ministry and to go to college to be a pastor too. I know, college!?!?! I was probably the biggest advocate for not going to college before I left for this trip and now you hear me saying that Im going to it. I am not quite sure where I want to go yet and what exactly the studying will be on but I have an idea. I thought I would just let you guys know what I’m thinking and what God has been putting on my heart as of late.
