Hi! My name is Tyler Ambrose and I’m named after my dad’s best friend. I am 18 years old and am graduating from The Medina County Career Center this June. I am enrolled in Auto Technology where I’ve been learning how to repair cars.

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Folsom, California when I was four years old. After living in California for three years I moved to Fishers, Indiana where I lived for my next eight years. After spending most of my childhood in Indiana, my family moved to Medina, Ohio during my freshman year of high school. One of the reasons I moved around so much is because my dad is a pastor of a church. He is the Lead Pastor of Heartland Community Church in Medina. My mom was a stay at home mom until I was sixteen years old and now she’s the Office Manager at our church. I have one older brother, Josh, who is twenty-one years old and attends Kent State University where he studies Public Health and plans to graduate this May.

One of the things that has impacted my heart the most is a mission trip I took to Nicaragua when I was younger. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the western hemisphere and this is really where I learned about poverty and how joyful people are who don’t own very many material things.

Some of the things I love to do in life are making people laugh, splitting wood, rock climbing, playing video games and working out. But the thing I love to do the most is ride my motorcycle! I saved enough money to buy a customized 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan and love riding with my dad and his friends. I work at Buehler’s Supermarket as a Bagger, the most important job in the business.

I’m excited about going on The World Race because I believe God’s calling me to step outside of my comfort zone and follow Him by faith. I’m looking forward to learning more about Him and what He wants me to do with my life. I can’t wait to serve people with the love of Jesus and meet so many of the people I will be serving Jesus with!

Please pray for me over the next few months that I see exactly where I’m being called and that I have the strength to do what I know God is asking me to do.
