I just ate….

Dog? Ants? Water Buffalo?
YES, YES, & YES

We are in Cambodia this month.  Month 8!  We are in the middle of nowhere.  The village is something around 700 people in total.  A soda is about $2000 riel or about 0.50 cents USD.  The exchange is 1 USD to 4000 Riel.  We live at a school that teaches English for free to children of the village.  We are with two other teams this month, albeit that we do not see each other much at all.  One team teaches English at the public school, one team teaches English at another village, and Spirit Reign team teaches on the property.  We hold class in thatched grass huts with white boards.  We sleep on mats on wire bunk beds.  Mo-ped or tuk tuk is the main transportation around here and you can buy fuel in 1 liter glass jars; just dump it in your tank and hand it back to them.  It is the dry season here and so far not a single rain drop in sight, the majority of the grass is brown, and it is very dusty.

We are all English teachers.  We have paired up this month and we teach four periods: 8:00-10:30, 11:30-12:30, 2:00-4:30, and 530-6:30.  Jacob is teaching with Haley, EJ is teaching with Lauren, and (big surprise) I’m with Becca teaching!  The classes range in ages 3-20 and classroom size ranges from 4 kids to 30 kids, so as you can imagine we have our hands full for sure.  We are having fun learning vocabulary and grammar….well Becca teaches grammar ha ha ha (I takes notes so that I know what a preposition is).  We also take recess and play games and tell bible stories and play the guitar and sing songs.  We are all having fun.

Thank you so much for support us financially and prayerfully so much!  We are at $2879.76 amount left to raise!  Keep the support coming in!  Thank you.

Waterbuffalo, big surprise, tastes like beef!  Dog tastes like a combination mix of beef and octopus!  Ants taste like ants! Meaning that you can’t taste them only the sauce that they come with.
