Root Canals Are Fun!
(Ty and Becca Blog)
God blessed us with a friend giving Ty a free root canal! So root canals can be fun when they are done by a professional and completely donated to you! Praise God for this blessing! We are here, it is now! We have been so incredibly blessed beyond our wildest dreams. There has been so much between training camp and getting to DC for launch. Some of the things we have encountered and God saw us through were Becca’s mother had a serious bicycle accident with a subdural hematoma, a subarachnoid hematoma, contusions to the left side of her temporal lobe, and a fractured clavicle requiring surgery but God saw Cindy through all this and is bringing her back and is recovering her health and mental acuity. God placed on our hearts to sell all of our possessions and give up everything so that God may work fuller in our lives that material possessions are not the kingdom. That you need nothing but the love of Christ in your heart to spread the kingdom. Our two garage sales were a huge success! We sold a ton of items, received lots of donations, and hopefully blessed others through our experience with it. Becca was blessed when her stepdad bought her a backpacking backpack which she did not have yet for our trip. We had two friends of ours step up and invite part of us to live with them for a year! Our animals! Moose, our cat, is staying with a friend of ours for a year and she will be a spoiled kitty being the only cat in the home. Our salt water aquarium went to friends of ours who they have no clue what they have gotten themselves into but they took them. It will be a fun project for them and I pray God blesses them through this. Ty’s Grandparents came and were invaluable with helping at the garage sale and with packing the left overs at the apartment into a storage unit. Threads of hope has been amazing, we sold just over 1,000 bracelets which means support to the girls in the Philippines and support to the world race! God has provided for everything and so much more. God provided for medications for both of us and Becca’s medications. Pete and Steve drove us out to D.C. We drove Sunday starting at about 1:30 pm and got to D.C. at around 8 am.
We are here, we have come to serve, and we have come because God called us to do so. It has not been easy. I, Ty, have never been jobless much less by choice jobless. It was a large step of faith that God provides for everything. It has racked our nerves but we have remained faithful to Him, and have lifted each other up helping each other to grow closer to God and trust in Him. We are very excited and very excited for everyone at home to come be a part of this journey with us online.
