It only seems sensible to have a backup plan. Something to turn to in case things don’t work out.  Maybe this isn’t God’s plan for us.  Maybe we’ve been tricked into something completely different than we thought we were getting ourselves into.  Maybe…

The truth is, though, there’s no plan B.  We’re going for it.  Throughout this past week, God was screaming at us to trust Him fully with our lives.  The World Race is our new reality.  In just over a month we will be abandoning our life possessions, families, jobs, hopes, and dreams, and stepping into a new culture of living completely and totally sold out for God.

For those of you who are new to our adventure, Training Camp is a weeklong period of time for racers to begin preparation for our 11 month journey.  Over approximately the next year, we will be travelling to 11 countries on 4 continents with 53 other racers from all over the United States and Canada, whose hearts are wholly centered on God’s love and kingdom.  As much as this journey is about serving others, we will in no doubt be changed from the inside out as we tell some of the most hurting people about hope and grace.

Within our 53 people, most commonly known as G-Squad, we have been placed on a team of 7.  This team, Reckless Faith, consists of Micah Hubbard (leader), Christina Norr (financial), Sara Shaneor, Kristin Trapp, Carter Gannon (logistics), Ty, and myself. We are incredibly blessed to serve alongside these beautiful people!  God is moving us forward in unity, grace, and a passion to see Him be glorified in everything we do.

So what are our expectations for this upcoming year?  For starters, we’ve been prefaced with the fact that our expectations are constantly going to be exceeded, unmet, and changed daily as God moves in and through our ministry and lives. One thing that I have constantly been reminded of is that God is so big, and we are so small, yet we matter so much.  Ty will say the same thing as our perception of who Jesus Christ is has completely been shattered, revealing His infinite love and compassion for His children.  Over the past week we have witnessed chains broken, hearts set free, indwelling of the Holy Spirit, healing of all kinds, and praise and worship like never before.

Currently we are at $16,227 raised in support.  We need a total of $31,000 to be fully funded.  Please take the time to pray about donating financially toward our adventure.  We have no backup plan.  We’re all in!
