Well I will add my thoughts to go along with Becca’s. This month as it was stated the men and the women are separate. It is different being married obviously. We intend to meet after week two is done and go have married couple time. This is the first time Becca and I have been apart for more than 5 days in three years. It has been challenging in some ways but the work is plenty for harvest and so the days go by fast. I look back on this past week M-F and it was +75 hours put in no small feat.
We are building the future for SHE ministries. We are building the leaders house and office buildings. I do not know how much we will accomplish in a month but we are doing a great job so far; working hard and having superb manly conversations. Our conversations are deep and God is with us that is for certain. WE have been putting in doors, painting, clean up from dry walling, cutting and putting in windows and shutters, landscaping, etc. As soon as you have one job finished Mark has another for us plenty to do. This property I believe is the key because it is about 30 minutes away from the red light district. I believe it will be a perfect place to get the girls away from that life style and out of the town away from all of that. God is blessing the property in amazing ways.
We walk into town every day for lunch which is some type of Thailand soup which is spicy! It costs 25 Baht so less than 1 US dollar. I can live with that price!
There is such a large harvest here and the fields are ripe! We are here for that reason.
Our ministry this month is different, we are building where the women will be living, building where the missionaries will be living, and pouring into this ministry indirectly so to speak. It has shown to me that missions is not all about evangelizing; there is a lot of other things you can do that is “missions” that is not sharing the gospel. Although we have Godly conversations all the time so can it really be said that we are not sharing the gospel? But our actions show who is Lord in our hearts.
Ty
