This isn't a long, or incredibly profound post, but I wanted to share a little bit of our life and hearts as Ty and I celebrate our upcoming two year wedding anniversary.
I've received more than a few puzzled looks when explaining to people that our wedding anniversary is on October 31st, more commonly known to Americans as Halloween.
"Did you dress up?" I'm frequently asked.
"Only in a wedding dress," I reply.
So why Halloween?
It hasn't been hard to notice lately that every time I walk into Walmart, it seems as though Halloween is becoming more celebrated than most holidays, even Easter or Thanksgiving. There is more candy, costumes, and cheesy haunted house decor than I've ever seen! October 31st has always been one of my most favorite days of the year, but probably not for the same reasons as most.
God definately had something really special planned on October 31st, 1987 when he brought my twin sister Kalin and I into the world.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Pslam 139:14-16
This idea just blows my mind. For me, my birthday is a day to praise God for who He is and who He created me to be. Getting married on my birthday was such a blessing, as God gave me the best gift I could have ever received- my best friend and hubby, Ty.
Two years ago, we would have never imagined what kind of adventures God would have in store for us. Here are a few pictures from the last two years to share with you all where God has taken us!
