Expectations…like being able to get inside someone’s house when you think they are there.  Today started off like any other day on the world race.  I got up and spent time with God.  Right now our team is working through Ephesians as our Bible study, but we are all ADD and go down the rabbit trail often and frequently OOO  what’s that it’s SHINY!  You know how we are if you know us.  So yeah, I started my day off in the Word of God.  Then came breakfast, and then our contacts, John & Diana came back from being away for the weekend.  John had some things to take care of in Chisinau and asked if we wanted to come along.  I was looking forward to chopping wood for a couple of hours at an elderly gentleman’s house that we have been working at for the last couple of days.  The girls, Becca, Haley, and Lauren are working inside painting and washing dishes and cleaning the house.  The boys, are chopping firewood for winter.  The house consists total of three rooms, a fire wood room, a big bedroom, and the small bedroom which is his bedroom and small stove.  There is no kitchen, no shower, no bathroom…we do not know where those are but we do know that the bathroom is behind the house outside by the trees 😉  you do the math.

So yeah, I was going to chop firewood while everyone else went to Chisinau because I didn’t really need anything in town and wanted to chop wood…Except he wasn’t there and the door was locked.  I waited.  No one came.  I ran back to our house to see if they maybe haven’t left at this point yet…nope!  They are gone.  Okay read a book, spent time with God, take apart the shower and fix it.  English time!  So today was going to be easy we were going to watch a movie.  Two kids show up 30 minutes early!  Okay entertain them, we review some of the old stuff we worked on, and then use Becca’s computer for pictures that is always good.  3 o’clock English time and two more children show up.  Awesome.  Okay movie time….no one wants to watch a movie?  It was Despicable Me!  That is a spectacular movie!  No one wants to watch it?  You want to work on English?  Okay, here we go Ty the teacher.  What English do they need?  What English do I need when I’m in a foreign country?  LOL  A lot of stuff comes to mind.

So we worked on money, numbers, clothes, where you live, etc.  Poof!  It is now 4:15.  Almost two hours flew by.  Thank you Lord for helping me.  I have discovered with children you cannot really tell them what to do, especially when you can’t speak their language well without a dictionary, you can only try to sneak learning in with what they are currently interested in.  Thank you Lord also for pictures on the computer.

Thank you Lord for another crazy day on the World Race.
