Hey all! I wanted to make a quick post to update you all on the current state of my trip! At the time of writing this, I sit at a total of $4,790 out of the $13,805! That may seem like a fraction of what I need, but I consider this a humongous blessing. The fact that I was able to raise such a large amount in such a short time blows my mind! I want to thank you all for the support that has been shown to me, and I am truly grateful. My first goal is $5,000 by the 21st of July, and I know that with your help, I will be able to reach it! If you have been thinking of donating, now would be the perfect time to do so; and if you want your donation to count towards this specific goal, it needs to be sent by the 19th!
Now, on to the second part of this update! If you have not heard, there has been a change in my route, and I am excited to see what God has in store for me! Instead of going to Malaysia, as planned, my squad and I will be heading over to South America to live in Ecuador for three months! This change adds another layer of diversity to the places that I will be going, as well as giving me a chance to put to use the three years of Spanish class that I have slept through. On top of this change, I have also learned the order of which countries I am going to visit. The order is Ecuador, India, and finally Zambia. The Lord has really been working on my heart these past few days, and my mind has been refocused onto this trip, and I cannot wait to go!
In some other news, my training camp for the race starts August the 10th and ends the 20th, and I am very excited for this time to grow with my team and prepare for the race.
