Over the past couple of months, blogging and I have developed a weird relationship with each other. The desire to write a blog pops up from time to time, but due to the lack of internet I can’t actually post it. Most of the time I just end up writing it in my journal, never actually making it to a computer. In Zambia I’m hoping to change that. With the abundance of cafes where I’m at (Livingstone), blogging should be quite easy! I apologize for the lack the past three months; but I’ve seen my mistakes, and I hope to move on from that!
Moving on to more life updates, I’m in Zambia! For this first month I’m working with a ministry called Africa 4 Jesus, and this first week with them has been absolutely amazing! So for this first month I have the opportunity of doing manistry month (where all the men do ministry together) and it has just been so, so wonderful! Our hosts are all men as well, so just the community of brothers that I’ve been able to help foster has been such a gift from God, and I’m excited to see where he’s going to take us this month!
Here’s a list of some celebrations from this past week:
* Random men competitions (like rock throwing, races, wheelbarrow relays, etc)
* English church services
* Meat
* American toilets
* Being able to take my shirt off
* Brotherhood
* Sunsets
* Sunrises
* Sleeping in a hammock, and not the ground
* Relationships
* A woodcarver named Moses
* The goodness of God’s creation
That ends my quick little update, I’ll be making more real blogs soon! Also as a reminder, I’m fundraising again! You can help donate to my adventure at CGA at the top of my blog, and if you want more info please contact me! I love you all so much, and I can’t wait to share what God is doing in my life!
