Faith. What is faith?
Wikipedia tells us it’s; complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
Hebrews 11:1 tells us; Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Everyone has faith. Whether you believe it or not, you have faith. Whether it’s faith in yourself, humanity, or in some kind of religion/belief system, you still have faith. If I would ask, “how strong is your faith”? That is something only you can answer.
As many of you now know, I have placed my faith in the God of the bible. The LORD, the God of Israel, the God who has made himself known to me through Jesus Christ, through the anointing of Holy Spirit.
For the first 20 years of my time here on earth, I lived my life solely by my own understanding, through faith and trust in myself, and in the temporary elements that were a part of my life (money, materials, relationships, identities, etc.)
This all changed when I began to pray and turn my attention to the things that are unseen (God, the spiritual realm, eternal hope etc). Through placing my trust in Holy Spirit/the Spirit of truth/the God of the Bible/the person of Jesus Christ, I have experienced dramatic change in my life, and the reason I keep talking about it is because it’s nearly impossible not to!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to reflect on all of the things God has done in and through me this year and I was overjoyed and full of praise at the thought of it. I was also reminded of the importance of my faith and how it has impacted my journey.
The conclusion I reached after pondering all these things is that; there’s nothing more important than my faith and my relationship with Jesus Christ. Without him I am nothing, without him I can do nothing. Glory to God in the highest.
The reason I share all of this with you is because I desire for you to have the same faith and to share the joy that I have in Christ and I and hope/pray that you will pursue faith in Jesus Christ/the Creator/the Spirit of Truth for not only your salvation, but also for the sake of your present life, and the lives around you!
May the LORD bless you, and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you.
“Lord, increase our faith!”
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. Luke 17:6 KJV
By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3 ESV
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 ESV
