Hello friends.

Grace and peace be with you all in our Lord Jesus Christ. I’ll be short and quick to the point in this blog. I have been running from God and He has set me straight this week.

In my last blog I explained how I was moving westward due to the language barrier. I was travelling many kilometres in a short amount of time and at times, failing to embrace what God had prepared for me when I entered a new city. I often caught myself looking at what laid ahead instead of what was right infront of me.

Last week God woke me up and showed me what I was missing. I was missing a yes in my heart and the willingness to be obedient to His call. My heart was set on going west and finding new opportunities in Georgia. Jesus had other plans.

I tried to book a flight through a travel agency to fly to Tbilisi on Thursday. The agency wasn’t able to get me a ticket…. I tried booking through the airline company; both my visa cards got declined. Interesting. Watch the video to see what happened next.

As you see in the video, Jesus had much more for me in this city and it started with a simple step of obedience to pray for a man with a hurting ankle. Obedience + a willing heart are necessities if we want to build His kingdom here on earth.

I am currently connected with the church here in the city and hope to equip them to walk in the power of the Spirit. My visa is good until the 10th of September so I am excited to see what God has for me within that time frame. My phone keeps ringing and locals continue to show up at the hostel so I know I will be busy for the time being! Glory to God.

I hope you are encouraged by Gods work here in Aktau. Please be praying that I will continue to proclaim the name of Jesus and his gospel with clarity and boldness and that I would continue to be obedient to the voice of Holy Spirit. Your support is much appreciated.

Peace & blessings,

Tristan

But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord . He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the Lord . Jonah 1:3 ESV

And Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:7-12
