First, yes you read the blog title right
I'm sorry to say:
I am thinking about saying goodbye to the race 8 months early
These thoughts have been forced upon me unwillingly
However, they are thoughts I must think about.
Before I continue, I would like to officially introduce you to my lovely team.
I didn't do this after trainig camp, because I wanted to wait until I knew the gals better.
FIrst off the official C Lite (Cody)
She is our crazy, one of a kind leader. Most people would consider Cody an unlikely leader. However, it has been awesome to see God grow great things in her the past two months. She is someone I love to joke with, but also respect highly. I love the blunt truth this girl speaks!
Eminem aka Emili

Oh my Eminem! This amazing lady carries so much wisdom from the Lord. She is our team treasurer, and is amazing at what she does. Her intentionality in relationships blows my mind. I have only lived with her for 2 months, but have learned so much from her.
Lecrae aka Lisa

Lisa is my fellow California girl. I first met Lisa a day before traning camp. We both flew in a day early and shared a hotel. Lisa is quiet at times, but she can also be quite funny. Me and Lisa have shared quite a few funny moments of bad and good advice. She is a joy to have on the team.
Lil Wayne aka Liz
This girl is crazy! She is hard headed and stubborn. She is strong and wise. She is sometimes a mess, especially when she is sick. But I love her like crazy! We have the most akward moments ever. Especially on bus rides in Honduras or on dates in Valle De Angeles. This girl has a testimony to share, and I know God is going to use her in amazing ways.
MC Hammer aka Mel
Oh Mel! Mel has dance moves like MC Hammer! Everyone thought Mel was so quiet and timid at training camp. Well let me tell you the truth, Mel is a fireball. Some of the guys have nicknamed her Hot Rod Mel and made up a story of how she got that name. It is hilarious. Despite her lovely humor, Mel is extremely wise.
Missy Elliot aka Mary
Mary is the lady in the hat. She probably the quietest/most conservative person on our team. God has blessed her with a tremendous passion for ministry. She has recently been sick. However, she refuses to stay home from ministry. She truely has a heart to reach people. This is so encouraging.
Okay, so now that you've officially met my team, we can get to the meat and potatoes of this blog.
Like I stated, I have been forced to think about leaving the race 8 months early.
In order for me to continue to stay out on the mission field I have to meet certain financial deadlines.
In order to stay out on the field, I need to raise 11,000 dollars by April 1st.
Unfortunately, I still have a few thousand dollars left to raise, and money has been slow to come in.
Lately, I have been praying for God's will to be done.
It takes a lot to pray for his will to be done, and not just for finances.
The thought of potentially going home stirs many emotions.
It stirs things like:
Fear
Doubt
Anxiety
AND
Sadness
Honestly,
I've never had as much peace as I've had these last two months.
God is constantly fighting for my heart.
I've realized that going home and working two jobs isn't my hearts desire.
I've given up my heart for his.
His heart for me is to live a radically adandoned lifestyle.
A lifestyle that isnt just for the next 11 months.
It's a lifestly that he's called me to live until I see him face to face.
Right now,
In this moment
I am trusting God
I am fighting for my place on the race
However,
I've realized I can't do it alone
I can't fund this thing alone.
I'm fighting, but I need you guys to fight with me!
I ask that you'd go to God in prayer,
ask him how he would like to use you.
