Why?
He knows the core of every hearts desire! Silly goose
He doesnt just know our desires, but what is at the core of those desires.
Today, God took me on a date to a school that was located up a bumpy hill!
Yes, I am totally convinced God took me on a date.
He sung me love songs through the laughs and smiles of sweet Honduran children!
He whispered sweet nothings through little eyes
and even ended the date with a kiss
God is the perfect king!
Last night, I was a little grumpy when I found out that my team would not be visiting Heart of Christ.
Its the one ministry I wanted all month, and we are the only team that didn't get to go.
It's a home for girls and their babies.
So I went to bed discouraged. When our other plans for the week fell through, I tried to convince God that this is where my team had to be.
Did I say God knows the very core of our hearts desires?
Last night, it was announced that my team would be at a school!
My team leader said they prayed about it and thought that was bet er.
Well, I was angry! No, I was pissed!
But God being the perfect king that he was had a much better date planned.
He knew what my heart truely needed.
It needed to be able to love on and help one little girl named Maria.
He knew that sweet Maria, with my beautiful smile was the perfect way to show me his love!
I went to the school. Was informed that they had some kids really struggling. One of my teammates mentioned that was my specialty and boom! Everything was set.
Next thing I know, I was puking behind the van. Not the perfect way to start ministry.
As I had to sit out the first hour of classroom time, my heart was saddened.
All of a sudden all I wanted to be doing was teaching.
I think God planned this in order to fix my attitude. He had to create the longing to teach that I usually ALWAYS have.
Then he introduced me to the perfect student.
We sat at a table and began to work on pronouns.
Almost immediately, this little girl started pouring God life and live into me.
She stared in my eyes and told me how precious and beautiful I was.
Her eyes would light up when I told her she was doing an awesome job.
My heart was captured
God I'm sorry for doubting your perfect plan. You've never let me down. You always give me the desires of my heart to the fullest extent. You are the perfect king!!
As the day progressed, this little girl would continue to pour life into me.
We shared hysterical laughter when a dragon fly scared me.
She sung beautiful songs to me in spanish.
Then the moment came when she asked me to sing to her.
I told her I dont sing.
She leaned over and whispered into my ear, "its okay you can sing beautifully, dont be scared, ready 1.2.3!"
When she got to 3, I sung open the eyes of my heart Lord to her.
When I was finished, there were cheers and a smile coming from her face that soon turned to a kiss on my cheek.
Today was exactly what I needed. God is the perfect romancer!!
