This might be one of my favorite experiences so far on the World Race. Last week, we went to hang out with a native community. It reminded me a lot of the community we lived with in the Philippines.
There is a small church there where the believers are just on fire for God. It was incredible. They were singing and dancing during worship. I do believe my favorite part of the worship team was the tambourine player. If you’ve ever seen Will Ferrell do the “More Cowbell” Skit for SNL, you can probably imagine the amazingness of this tambourine guy. I’ve included a nice video for your enjoyment. They way he was moving those hips…lol. Then we got up and did some worship. The church was dancing it up. We ended up singing and dancing on stage…pretty much a concert. I ended up running off the stage and dancing in the back with some grandmas and some youth. It was great. So I would have never said I have much of a voice, but now that we’ve all been promoted to worship leaders, I’d like to think we’re pretty sweet. After all that, they fed us a big meal (which is a huge blessing because they don’t have anything). We then ate some interesting things and drank some of what I wouldn’t call the most sanitary water ever.

We went around the town and played with the kids and finished off with a big prayer. Great day J.
