Many of you know that I am an extrovert. I love hanging out with people and talking. I have always thought that I was a big time extrovert. But, the Lord has been speaking to me since the start of the race about being an extrovert. He has revealed to me, that I am both an extrovert and an introvert. Suprise!!!!
Back at home, I would spend a lot of time on my computer, watching movies or working on something. Then I would go and hang out with people for awhile, then go back to doing those things. I realized this and learned that I had a good balance of alone time and time with people. The Lord revealed to me that I am a 50% extrovert, and a 50% introvert.
Being in Swaziland and being on The World Race, I DO NOT have any of those things that I like to do in my introvert time. So, I tend to listen to a lot of music and watch movies that I downloaded on to my external hard drive when I can. The Lord showed me that I am a 50/50 through everyone else around me. I don’t get alone time unless I carve out a time and place for my alone time. As you could probably guess, I am around people all of the time on the race. So, my extrovert self would talk to a ton of people non stop. This is where I learned that I am an introvert. I had spent so much time and energy talking to people, that I had exhausted myself. I realized that I did need time to myself and needed to be recharged almost daily.
Before I went on the race, I asked God to show me more about myself that I didn’t know and to reveal my true self. Man has he been delivering. This is only one thing of many things that God has showed me about myself. I look forward to learning more about myself in the next several months.
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog!
