This month was very tough for many of us. We each taught our own classroom of kids/adults, 6 hours a day. I have a new-found respect and appreciation for teachers everywhere. I did it for two weeks and I was exhausted. However, this month was a great introduction into Asian culture and life. Right away we felt like one of the locals: we ate what they ate, we lived where they lived, and we were invited right into their cultural customs. Our first night we ate on at a wooden restaurant stilted above water. We sat on the floor with our shoes off struggling to use chopsticks correctly and trying to decipher the puzzle of food in front of us. After the first two weeks, we were finally able to relax! We visited a Buddhist temple atop of 800 stairs, had a picnic out in the middle of a flooded rice field, we stuffed ourselves at a self-made all-you-can-eat seafood buffet at the beach, and more!
I plan to write a couple more blogs before my time on the WorldRace ends. I want one of them to be a QnA with you guys! In the comments or in an email ask me questions as I am finishing and coming home. I will answer any and all!
