When we got to Chiang Mai Thailand we had a few days off before we started ministry. Mainly because our contact was out of town until the 8th and we arrived on the 4th. So we had some time to kill and wanted to explore around the Chiang Mai area. One of the first things we heard about in this area was Tiger Kingdom. We didn’t know much about it but we did know that you can go pet tigers, so we loaded up in a truck and headed over. Most of us did the smallest tiger and biggest tiger option so you can spend about 15 minutes with each, and it was awesome! To be able to be around an animal with so much power was incredible!
The next day we had the idea of renting motorcycles and driving into the country to waterfalls. It was probably the best idea ever, in my opinion. It was such a cool day. Just riding around on motorcycles with 7 other guys was awesome! Then you add in the 1,000 foot waterfall climb and descent, then a visit to a second waterfall, then Thai food mixed in between, it makes for an awesome day! Probably one of the best off days on the race yet.
