So much has happened in Thailand already. I probably have about 6 different blogs I can think about writing and just don’t know where to start. So I figured I’d go in the order the events took place.
When we arrived in Bangkok Thailand we had a few days of debrief at a YWAM base and some goodbyes to Robby and Tara, our wonderful squad leaders who moved on to new things. But to take there place we now have Austin and Krissy, so we are in good hands. They are amazing! But what I really wanted to talk about was our journey to a temple in Bangkok.
I really didn’t know what to expect as we were leaving for these temples. I did not know much about Thai culture before so I wasn’t sure what a temple looked like. So when we arrived, I was shocked! These things are HUGE! And they have amazing detail! It’s absolutely unbelievable how much detailed work is put into building these things. Just check out these pictures.

It's pretty sad to see the Thai people worshipping gods who can do nothing for them. Most of the time they just look so confused at what they are doing. Just look at the woman in the picture above.

This hand made god is absolutely ridiculous! It's HUGE! I couldn't believe how big it was. When I walked in to this temple I couldn't believe my eyes. As big and quite impressive as this god looks. It can't even come close to being compared to God himself.

Inside and outside there our many different structures and at each entrance there are guards.

There are so many different gods throughout this temple. And actually, I ran out of time before I could walk around the whole place. I think I really only saw about half of it. I think there was still so much more to see.

After touring the temple we walked into a market area so I decided to snap a few pictures of the area. There are so many markets here. Everywhere you go is a market. As we started heading home we got caught in a downpour. Just before getting in the boat the rain came down hard. Once in the boat I did get to snap this picture but after that I just wanted to make sure my camera didn't get soaked.
It was quite a crazy day. 4 hours of travel with only 45 minutes of seeing the temple. Wish I could have stayed longer that day but we had to pack up and head out to Thailand the night, so we had to get back to start getting ready. I'm hoping to see a few more temples before we leave Thailand.
