Hello my friends in Christ! God has been doing some incredible work through our team as well as in my life. Transformation has been a key word God has instilled in me since my journey began in January. During my time in Costa Rica, I have been striving to search my flaws, struggles, as well as insecurities in order to grow into the man God has called me to be. As much as I have hated this at times, great joy and wisdom has calmed my soul through these trying times. Praise God for this!!!! In order to grow in a relationship with Christ, one has to release their chains that have been holding them down. Release the chains that have told them they aren't good enough, or past mistakes that have always seem to get the best of them. When doing this, we are casting all our fears and struggles upon God and letting him take the lead over our life. This is what I have been doing spiritual this past month. TRANSFORMATION!!!!
In Costa Rica God used us in mighty ways! We helped out at food drives three times a week. Our teams was also involved in children's ministry, VBS, as well as walking around small villages praying that God's love be seen by all. Sadly prostitution and drugs are big here in Costa Rica so prayer is much needed in that area. I'm not going to lie, doing ministry can sometimes be emotionally draining, however God keeps pushing us to give it our all. When we become tired and weary, God always provides us strength. When our group becomes frustrated and angry at each other, God always provides peace. No more can we run away from our problems and struggles, but we must face them head on acting in faith and in love. I have learned so very much already and i can't wait to keep learning more from my Maker!
Once a week we have an off day. During this time we usually go to the beach and just relax and enjoy the beauty of God. This day is well needed! Goodness I have never been so wiped out in my life! It is only going to get harder as we continue on this journey. Harder living conditions as well as finding food and supplies for each week. Just keep us in your prayers:)
I want to ask this in the name of Jesus. That you guys will pray that God will break me. That He will show me my struggles and weaknesses. That I will become smaller and let God become greater!! I'm here for transformation! I challenge you to do the same as well. Ask God to reveal your struggles and fears. Don't run from them, but acknowledge them and give them up to God so that you may be free in Him! It's such a beautiful feeling to be made whole and free:) Just remember, "where you invest your love, you invest your life." Invest in Jesus my friends!
