I pray for Her…

For the love of the land; I pray for Her

For the love of the people; I pray for Her

For the love of the promise; I pray for Her

For the love of the Fathers before; I pray for Her

For the love of The Father; I pray for Her

For the love of The Son; I pray for Her

For the love of the gift of love; I pray for Her

For the lives lost in the storm; I pray for Her

For the lives won in the struggle; I pray for Her

For the lives that have yet to begin; I pray for Her

For the lives that have been undone; I pray for Her

For the eyes that have yet to see freedom and for the ears that have yet to hear a day without warfare; I pray for Her

For the little girl on the corner who has lost loved ones; I pray for Her

For the little boy who only knows salvation through a gun; I pray for Her

For the beliefs that say “he is the only way” When “he” never paved the way for “I am”; I pray for Her

For the beliefs that allow a child to feel second best only to a bomb in the arms of a mother; I pray for Her

For the beliefs that say life is nothing compared to the next and the only way to get there is through taking the life of another in the name of “another”; I pray for Her

For the beliefs that my home, my family, my life is not my own, when the ones who stake claim to who you are (and who’s you are) are but mere mortals themselves; I pray for Her

For the land that has seen more death and destruction (present and yet to come) than it’s country perimeter accounted for; I pray for Her

For land that requires you to have border checks several times a day, random personal checks and outward racial profiling; I pray for Her

For the land that has the weight of geopolitical climate placed on it; as if a boulder on the shoulders of an ant seeking refuge in the shade and a place to call it’s own.

For land that claimed so many lives because of it’s geographic position regardless of it interest/investment in what was being fought for; I pray for Her

For the lost souls who live in confinement of misguided teachings, false prophets and heresy; I pray for Her

For the lost souls who invest life into what is promised after taking lives; I pray for Her

For the lost souls who believe billboard, broadcast media and other forms of corrupted media have more of a promise to it before believing in the promise of the Father; I pray for Her…
