Last night my prayer group and I were listening to a podcast by Heidi Baker, and the Word that God has given her must be shared! Here is a little of what she said….

"Stop, you need to see the poor." Like the good samaritan, we need to stop for just one. We need to look at each one. The Lord broke out hearts for the poor.       -Heidi Baker, Always Enough

4.4 Billion people around the world are spiritually starving without salvation through Jesus Christ…

4.4 Billion….

Heidi said, "Stop for the one who is THE ONE, then stop for the one."

Love Jesus and love the one in front of you everyday with Christ's radical love!

"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-
when you see the naked to clothe him

and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I."
Isaiah 58:6-9

4.4 Billion sounds overwhelming, but what if you stopped for the one person God placed in front of you today? At Walmart, Target, the grocery store, work, school? Maybe a smile or a hello. Maybe buying the random person's Starbucks behind you in the drive-thru. If we stop and realize that we are sharing our food and money from God's table then we will never have to worry about not having enough!

What if all believers around the world stopped for the one? What a difference could be made! Father God cares about the one! He wants to use YOU!

Matthew 25:40 says, "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for ONE of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

The challenge of "stopping for the one" must start with stopping for THE ONE, Jesus Christ! Allow Him to fill you with His presence. Then stop for the one!

Jesus, fill me with your compassion for the one! Overwhelm me with urgency for the one here in Little Rock, AR and all around the world!
