I have a question I want to ask you.
Who are you?
I mean really…do you know yourself?
What defines you?
Do you let the world tell you who you are….do you tell yourself who you are…or is your identity found in Christ?
See something that I have learned is there is so many voices in our heads
- the world ( satan )
- family/friends
- ourselves
- and our Father's
Now…although the last three are great…the only one that should define us is God's
To many times I see people get caught up in the first three…
The world (satan) is great at lying….It tells you that you have to make X amount of money to be happy/successful …it says you have to live your life this way….it says you have to weigh X amount to be "beautiful" …you just simply have to work to earn the love of the world…money and flashing lights is where our hearts are put in…when we let the world define us.. it leads to "death" …you will just crash and burn…as I have before…
Although if used properly friends and families voices can really be used to mold us…refine us… but to many times we let those voices define who we are….when your parents say something that breaks you…..when your ex boyfriend/girlfriend tears your heart and says your not worth it ….a lot of the time…people speak death over each other….and our minds just get wrapped up in those words…and we become that…we say to ourselves…we aren't worthy….we aren't beautiful.. whatever that certain lie that was spoken over you… it just simply becomes your identity…..
And just like the last voice….our own voices in our heads are good…if we listen and use it right…. but something I have come to see is that at times…we are just simply stuck in our ways…. the only thing that we will listen to is ourselves…and no one else…not even the Spirit…and honestly the worst enemy we have is ourselves…..we become our own king…god…for we aren't open to change…to advice…to feedback…to people…to love…to Christ.
So brothers and sisters I am telling you now….open your hearts…minds…eyes to the Spirit of God… let your identity be found in Christ….ask Him who you are…then from there you can be confident of who you are…and listen to others …feedback…so you can take it to God and apply it or let it go…you can even use your own voice in your head because your mind will be changed to be like Christ's mind! ….
So this was short… and honestly you prob heard this message plenty of times….but i see to many Christians struggle with this matter…
So…I ask again…
Who are you?
What Defines you?
Where do you stand in His Kingdom?
Remember this people…. there is no middle ground… you cannot stand on the fence in His Kingdom…. you cannot be apart of this world…and apart of His Kingdom….You cannot worship yourself…and God… so… choose today who you will serve…..
I pray your souls wake up….I pray you can take a stand for His Kingdom…and truly find out who He is calling you to be… Knowing yourself in His Kingdom is so important….so…go soul searching…He will show you!!!!!
