Well for starters this month we are serving with a Pastor named Moses and his church called Gospel Center! This month the church is doing a month of preaching! So Monday – Friday we go out in the mornings and hold a bible study with some women who are in the sewing class the church provides so the women can learn a skill to provide for their families! After that we go out in the villages and spread God's love to them…bringing the lost home to His House…or strengthening His children! On sundays we preach three times at church! So it has been an amazing month of being in God's Word! Honestly, I have seen at least 30 people come to Christ…and know there has been more throughout the month, but in the past two days I have experienced something that really encouraged me! The Power of God's love is ridiculous!
We met a man that said his name was John the Baptist…He has an actual Rwanda name but I am terrible with names….regardless he is an elder man and he stopped us on the street for he wanted to talk to us and wanted prayer! And so we loved on this man….shared about the Freedom in Christ…the overfilling love of God for Him…the gospel…but at the end of the conversation…He didn't want to receive salvation…YET…He wanted to receive it tomorrow….just wanted to have us pray over Him….and in Rwanda throughout this month…I have heard that a lot…"I want you to come back tomorrow and I will receive Jesus then" …and when the Spirit of God prompts me I will tell them that God says we aren't promised tomorrow and if we want salvation it is ready for us today…but we can never force anyone to Christ…and I just knew that with this man God needed to work on his heart, so we just prayed over Him and asked to meet him at 10:30 am the following morning.
Well the morning came…10:45 was here…and he was not there….so I just had to trust God and go about my morning…well after having two men come to Christ we went into this gated area down the road and sat down with this woman….and just in a matter of minutes I see this young boy holding John's hand and walking him to us! AMEN! He came searching for us! And right when he sat down the story in the bible about the sick woman in Matthew who wanted to just touch the cloak on Jesus… in faith if she did so she would be healed…came to my head! This man has terrible vision in both eyes ..pretty much blind…and well…yesterday He came home to the Kingdom of God! And God put one of the men I was with responsible for going to John's house and reading the Word to him so he can get feed spiritually! And is also responsible for bringing him to church…all that until God heals both eyes…for He will heal him, but he is in this trail to increase the amazing faith that He has. And also so He can use this time to remember scripture and use that scripture to proclaim healing over himself!
Matthew 9:21 " She said to herself ' if only I could touch his cloak, I will be healed."
This story really encourages me….how many of us truly take the time to think about what God wants to do with us…and run after Him….so many of us…just wait on Him…wait on miracles to happen….instead of stepping out in faith. This man ran after Christ after hearing about what He did for him…after God brought him to tears…and realizing that He needs Him. This man's faith is so unique and so encouraging! Lets be people of God who run after our God! Isn't He so worthy to just sit on His throne and have us go to Him!? Do we have the faith to just say "if I can just touch the cloak of Jesus I will be healed"…are we in complete desperation for Him? Do you feel like you honestly need Christ? Does His love for you still bring you to awe and in tears? Let this be a wake up call….for whatever you need awakening of! God bless you guys.. love yall so much! Praying for yall constantly!
