Your Squad Web site is your inside
track to the World Race as you prepare to be launched into the nations.  Leading up to your Training Camp and your launch date
we’ll be sharing stuff here that you want to know.

We’ll be equipping you with some real practical stuff to help
you prepare for your experience, like how to blog, what gear to buy, and
how to calm your parents down when they are sure something bad is going
to happen.  We’ll be highlighting some causes and ethical issues that
may grab your heart around the world, and we’ll be fostering discussion
around those topics.  We’ll be keeping you up to date on what’s
happening with Racers on the field and talking about what God is doing
in their hearts.

The next several months will at times seem to drag on.  At
times they will seem as though they are flying by.  Through it all you
can connect with your Squad and with your World Race Prep Team through
this Web site.

PREP TEAM

I’m Jacob Hoyer and I’ll be working on your squad’s Prep
Team as Moderator of this Web site leading up to your Training Camp and
your
Launch.  I’ll be working to develop most of the resources you see on the
Web site and I’ll be helping to facilitate some discussion as we get
ready
together.

[I don’t have the beard anymore. That was just an Africa thing.]

I went on the October 2008 World Race.  When I returned I
worked in the Admissions department for a few months before heading back
to the field to lead the June 2010 World Race.  Now I’m back in the
States, working on your Prep Team and developing some resources in
Logistics.

I like to play the Wii and watch football.  I’m passionate
about seeing the Church come alive to be the answer the world is waiting
for.  I’m excited that you have answered the call and I’m honored to be
a part of your journey.  You can read my blog here.  Shoot me an email with the link on the home page if you have any questions about the Web site or if you want to talk.

I’m Kim Hillebrand and I will be your squad’s Mobilizer
leading up to your launch!  As your mobilizer, you can come to me for
everything from vaccinations to passports, from stateside travel to
prayer requests.

I went on the January 2009 World Race.  Then I participated
in a program called Project Searchlight that helped to develop the
dreams that God has put on my heart.  I found that I was passionate
about discipleship, so I headed back out on the World Race as a Squad
Leader with the July 2010 squad.  I’ve just begun work in the admissions
department at the World Race offices in Gainesville.

I like to be in nature, I love salsa dancing, and I always
enjoy curling up with a good book.  I can’t wait to walk with you as you
prepare for the Race and follow your journey through your blogs from
the field.  Check out my blog here.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email or to call.

Hey guys!  I’m Katie and I’ll be your Support Coach.  I’m going to help you figure out the best way to answer God’s call to raise the support to send you around the world to help bring His Kingdom.

I got a four-year bible degree and then spent three years getting my Bachelor’s in Nursing.  My husband (a cute boy with curly blonde hair) and I went on the World Race in January 2010.  We lived in mud huts and tree houses, played with orphans and street kids, shared the tangible love of Christ and watched Him change our lives — forever.  Now we’re both working in the World Race offices in Gainesville, GA.

I hail from the frozen tundra of Minnesota, where I played hockey in high school.  I don’t eat meat and I’d rather run a marathon than take a walk on the beach.  I can promise you, the work you are about to embark on over the next year will break your heart, but you couldn’t imagine up a better way to spend four months of your life!  I’m so glad to get to share a little bit of the beginning of the experience with you.

Check out mine and Billy’s blog here. If you ever need anything, please feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email.    Phone: 770-983-1060 x312    Email:  [email protected]
