In about a month, on June 20th you have your first support
deadline. By then you need to have $3,000 of your support in your
account. Hopefully that’s not too scary. These deadlines are intended
to break up your overall support goal to make it a little more
palatable.

If you do have a little bit to go in the month before the
deadline, here are three things you can do today to start chipping away
at the goal:

2. Review your Support Network
Think through who you have contacted already. Is there anyone
who you were sure would give who hasn’t yet made a donation. Give them a
call and see if they’d like to get together for dinner or coffee.
Maybe they have been meaning to donate but forgot about the letter they
received. Maybe you can sit down with them to cast the vision for the
year. Helping them understand what you hear God saying for this year
will help to strengthen your relationship with them and encourage them
to commit to supporting you throughout the year.

It’s no coincidence that each of these options requires some
action on your part. The Lord has made you promises about this trip,
but that doesn’t mean you simply have to sit back and watch it happen.
Faith can require action. Promises are waiting for you to take hold of
