Where are we this month? We are in Costa Rica. Our ministry for this month (December) is working with at-risk youth and providing entertainment for 7 Christmas parties. We are living in a small farming town. We will also be doing work on the farm clearing the field and building fences if it does not rain (but we are in rainy season).
What is life in a small town? We will be witnessing a cow birth next week. We hear the monkeys groaning/growling everyday. We also have daily visits from two Toucans who eat some of the Plantains on the farm. We have spent a lot of team time and are getting to know the other team that we are working with (Team Brady).
We do not have any local pulperias (small snack shops) nearby on the farm. We need to take a bus to get groceries since there is not a store in walking distance. We have to walk a few miles to take the bus. We will obviously have limited internet access (probably once a week) since there is not any local internet cafes.
