While I was serving in the kitchen at Project Searchlight, I ended up talking to our cook Zach Parrish. He had done the G42 program in Spain that I was originally going to do. He started talking to one of the mentors or coaches for Project Searchlight. After he was finished, Zach informed me that the man he was talking to was the Director of the “School of Eagles” in Bellingham, WA. He told me about how he really respected the Director. As we continued, I felt a calling to talk to the Director about this school.
I went over and introduced myself to him. I then asked for more information on the school. I found out that their next term was in February. As he told me more about it, I thought it sounded amazing. However, I wanted to think it over and pray about it that night and the next day. I kept coming back to the same conclusion- that this was my “what’s next.”
I approached the Director and told him I was going to apply for the February term when I returned home to Seattle from serving. He was happy to hear that. I wrote down my commitment to apply when I returned to Seattle.
When I returned home, I applied to this school and was accepted. I actually start on Tuesday of this week. The link to their school is here: http://www.schoolofeagles.com.
