At the end of April, we went to Siem Reap to meet up with our squadmates to spend a night there before flying to Kenya together. On the night we were there, we were told of team changes. It turns out that my team changed some. Our team leader Mary (who had been my leader the whole time) decided to step down. She was not taken from this position because of anything inappropriate tbat sbe djd. She just felt like God was telling her to step down and be a regular racer. So because of that, our team changed.
Our Team now has all the same people as the last one (Addie, Angela, Cara, Mary, Rebecca, and myself). We also had a new member added as our team leader. Our new leader is Christina Palmer. She is a welcome addition to our team. She has already improved our team in the short time we have had her on our team. Our new team name is: W.O.W. (Women of Worth).
Some other team changes happened in Siem Reap that affected my former Team Arrow teammates. Dex was announced as a new team leader as well. Phil was moved to Dex’s new team. The ladies that we worked with from Team Engedi were moved to Dex’s team (Rebecca Fujimoto, Brandi Jo, Keryn Senn, and Sarah).
Since Dex was moved from Lindsay’s team to be a team leader, that left an opening for one more man. They added Jake Hildebrand (who we worked with in Honduras- originally on Rooted 1930 then on Raised). The other team members are still the same (A.J. Wagner, Annalisa Vosilouskas, Ashley Auman- my former teammate, Emily Toles).
