A night I will never forget at Training Camp…

Why was it so memorable?  This was my first night ever sleeping under the stars without a tent or any kind of tarp (I am from Seattle so we are always prepared for the rain).   I remember watching some of my “S” squad mates jumping from the cliffs into the water below.   I received poison ivy/oak for the first time (not my favorite experience).  We sang worship songs by the campfire.  We had the smelliest, sweatest group hug with over 65 other “S” squad members.  Some of our “S” squad members revealed struggles that they have and things that God is teaching them.  We made declarations as a group.  (Declarations are our way of praying as a group for things that impact all of us.)  Probably the most memorable part of the evening was when the guys prayed for all the women-they pledged their protection and spoke words of encouragement- speaking as brothers wanting only the best for us.  God was amazing in bringing us together!
