My family and relatives back home in Seattle are attending my Grandpa’s funeral at that same time (2pm Friday because of the 16 hour time difference). My Grandpa had been on hospice so it was an expected death. I had said my final goodbye to him before I left for the World Race.
My Grandpa was a quiet man which was intensified with his hearing loss. He was a hard worker- a farmer then a steel worker. He loved to do woodworking in his spare time and would gladly give it to his family and friends. He was always there for his family- helping my Grandma when she needed it. He was well respected throughout his community. He accepted Christ as his Savior this year.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: … a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1,4
Our family mourns that he is no longer here on earth. However, we are comforted that he is up in heaven dancing with my Grandma!!
