Hello! I’m Still in Romania and loving every second! I just had a wonderful surprise, here’s my story J So… happy birthday to me on Sunday! I was just thrown my very first surprise party here in Romania turning 25. This is my third birthday in another country but by far the best! So my actual birthday is Sunday but as I said but last night (Thursday) was our final night as a team alone with the boys and girls here at Casa Shalom, so they wanted to celebrate then. It was sooo
fun! I just love these young people, they are very hard workers. Mihaela was so sweet; she is such a giving person and shows love to everyone. She stated she makes sure everyone’s birthday here is different and special. She made me a delicious cake (she’s an amazing cook!) and definitely made me feel special.
I allowed Maria who is twelve to cut my hair with school scissors and I think it looks fantastic! They gave me a lot of hair bands and a journal which I actually needed and wanted!
an amazing support system here. I of course miss my family, but I definitely feel at home here with these girls and my team. I can’t believe
we are already getting ready to leave
. I was already emotional about leaving and then SURPRISE, it made me cry more
J but in a good way.Maria is full of the spirit and she gives glory to God for the things He has done in her life, she is such a sweetheart, even though she tries to be tough. We played a mean game of football the other day and had a wonderful chat during our hair cutting session. She’s multi talented, she can cook, clean, play sports, play piano, cut hair, translate, sing, dance.. crazy good stuff. Mihaela will make sure everyone is taken care of all the time, she is wonderful, we definitely bonded during a game of sardines when we were in an armoire for-what felt like-twenty minutes grasping for air in the crack of the door, laughing.

So La multi ani to me J Love you all!
Casa Shalom-House of Peace- May God continue to strengthen you in all your work here in Romania. You are a blessing to all.
Psalm 118:24 “This is the day which the Lord hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it”.
