Why fun is capitalized up there is beyond me! lol.. Fundraising is tough! Here are some things I am trying to do to support the mission of the WORLD RACE. First, I want to say thank you to my family and friends who are all coming up with ideas to help me!
Countryside Trinity Church’s youth group is putting on a spaghetti dinner for me. I met with them yesterday to discuss my trip and they want to help support. This is my friend Susan’s church, not even my home church and they are being very supportive.
I am preaching at Countryside and preaching at St. John (my church) to gain support and help people understand my desire to serve God in this way!
I’m dog sitting…lol
The money I get from teaching aerobics is going toward my supplies, shots, and account! Thanks to all the ladies who come to my class and my sister who I teach with.
I’m putting a silent auction together along with a spaghetti dinner for my friends and family at the Moose! It’s been difficult soliciting donations for the auction, so if anyone has any suggestions… don’t hesitate!
I’m collecting pop cans and bottles and picking them up from people until I leave!
Covenant is doing “Jean Days” for me every Friday. They pay $5 to wear jeans 🙂
Support letters and newsletters to update folks.
50/50 drawings at local bars that my family and friends own.
Dine and Donate! Bennigans restaurant and TGI Fridays are going to donate a portion of what people spend!
I’m selling buttons but not T-shirts… yet anyway.
I’m not standing on any street corners begging for money yet! But if it comes down to it I will! And I know most of my teammates would too!!
