We are in Nsoko, Swaziland for our ministry. Our team, as well as some others (Alexis & Emily Black, Traday, and Pastor Gift) have split up to head to six different Carepoints around the area. Pastor Gift and I are going to Mbutfu—the main G-42 Carepoint. Basically, at the Carepoints they bring in the local orphans or children whose parents can’t afford to give them substantial food. They feed them breakfast and lunch, and during that time try to give them some sort of education—most of them cannot afford to go to school. At my particular Carepoint I have been do mostly teaching. There is no set teacher there, and it’s completely chaotic. Different children come everyday, ranging from about a year to nine with an occasional older child, and the amount is always different. Thursday I had twenty-eight kids, while Friday I had forty-five. They speak basically no English, so I teach them the alphabet, colors, shapes, and numbers. We sing a lot of songs together, and I’ve even learned two SiSwati songs. Here are some pictures of these amazing children:

It’s been a tough week, and hard to get blogs and e-mails together. We have no access to the internet in Nsoko, so we came back to Manzini for the weekend to get some stuff done. I will be more intentional about getting blogs together for next week so I can let you know more of what’s been going on.
