On Saturday and Sunday, the children from the Remar Center were shuttled over to our hostel outside of town. They were pretty much in awe of the beauty around it. The hostel is actually a re-vamped milking house. Yup, they used to bring the cows here to be milked. At any rate, it’s on some amazing open farm property, lined with fields of butternut squash and sugarcane. It’s an incredible view, and the kids were excited to be out there.

We did several different activities with them–tug-o-war, Sharks & Minnows, an obstacle course, etc. The second day, two of the World Racers shared a bible story about the lost sheep, and Miles was able to borrow a little lamb from the pen nearby. It was the cutest little thing, and hopefully made the story a bit more tangible for the children. All in all, it was awesome to get them out of their element and just have some fun.
