Pelile came home from the
hospital on Tuesday night while we had the kids. It turns out that on top of
the HIV, she has TB now. She will be on medication for a while, and because of
her TB, has allowed me to take Moses (Mcolisi) to Manzini with us.

On Friday I
left for Manzini, but our team wanted to meet and pray for Pelile before we
left. We stopped by her home to let her say goodbye to the baby and for us to
pray for her, but she wasn’t home. She had gone to the hospital to get more
medicine. Her home is so small that the twelve of us were able to stand,
holding hands around her home and pray over the household.

Traday and
I took Moses to the hospital in Manzini today to get checked for TB. He is
still too small to get checked, but he has gained a half a kilo in the last 10
days. Pray for a continued appetite for him. On Monday I need to bring him back
to speak with a child nutrition specialist. He is still only 2.5 kg and the
doctor thinks his weight is higher priority than his cough right now. 3 kg is
the smallest they are able to start TB treatment on, so he needs to be at least
at that weight to get anything done. The nurse may ask for us to admit him on
Monday, which would mean having someone at the hospital round the clock. This
is the same hospital Zanele was in-it is nothing like what you expect in
an American hospital. It’s dirty, crowded, and the nurses have a reputation of
neglect. Please be praying that we are able to administer any malnourishment
treatments ourselves, rather than admitting Moses.
