Last week my team arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia at a ministry called New Hope for Orphans. It has been a great shift from last month to this month. Last month in Thailand was incredible. I feel like I grew so much in my relationship with the Lord and with my team. We mostly worked on manual labor projects, which was great because we saw a lot of progress but I was also hoping for it to be more relational. Someone from my team gave our group a word of wisdom that last month was building us up as a team and bringing us closer together, so that this month we can pour out. I feel like that statement has been very accurate. Our first day at New Hope for Orphans we met all the kids and played beach volleyball with them, got our hair braided, and danced until it got dark. Since then, we have been building on those relationships and creating deeper bonds. We have been teaching these kids worships songs and some English, and they have been teaching us how to dance. It is awesome getting to know these kids and create real friendships with them. I can’t wait to see what God does these next few weeks!
