Well we’ve been in Peru for two weeks! And I am loving it. The people are kind, the food is cheap, and the view it beautiful.
The month of us being in Peru is a month of evangelism and relying on God to provide housing, food, transportation and ministry. So far He has provided it all. By no surprise of course.
We spent our first few days in Arequipa, Peru. Oh man it was beautiful! We went to a church on Sunday morning and met some sweet girls who showed us around the amazing city of Arequipa. We stayed there for two days then onto the next city. Cusco Peru.
Cusco Peru is a large city a few hours away from Machu Picchu. It has beautiful cathedrals and mountains surrounding it.
The other day when my friend Rob and I were out praying for people in the streets we came across a man who spoke great English which was nice and he ended up sharing his testimony of how he found Jesus. Wow it was so powerful.
He told us about how he grew up in a family that believed in the Incan religion and that his grandmother was a witch. He talked about the different things his grandmother use to do when performing witchcraft. He said when he got older he started playing in a band and was into drugs and alcohol. He also said that there is a drink you can drink in the Incan religion that is a straight line to the god of death and he drank that one night. After that he would have spells of losing his vision and feeling paralyzed. He said he would fall to the ground randomly and have to crawl home. He went through this for three years and visited many doctors and no one could figure out what was wrong with him. He finally went to his sister who is a Christian and asked her what he needed to do to stop these spells from happening. He accepted Christ and the spells stopped. He was set free from these demons that were attacking him. He said he sat through 8 sessions of deliverance.
Friends Satan is so real and he wants you. Don’t let him have you. Choose life. Choose joy. Choose hope. Choose faith.
Don’t let the demons of this world keep you from experiencing the glory of God.
