Today I had the opportunity of sharing my miracle. This is huge because my miracle isn’t finished yet. But after today I’m one step closer.
My whole life I have had pain in my feet. I always thought it was just a flaw in the formation of my feet. I have extremely high arches which cause stress fractures in my feet often.
Two years ago I went to an orthopedic surgeon to see what could be done to fix this problem.
Little did I know I would get a life altering answer. The surgeon diagnosed me with a nerve disorder in my leg which causes my foot to draw in which explains my high arches. He offered a surgery to help for now but he explained to me that even if I had the surgery this would continue to happen because of my nerves. Neuropathy isn’t curable medically BUT we have a big God who can heal whatever he wants to heal.
Growing up I knew that the Holy Spirit lived in me but I didn’t know the ability he had through me. About a year and a half ago I went with my youth group to church camp as a sponsor. I learned so much from these “kids” and the power and authority they carried in the Holy Spirit.
Early in the week one of the sweetest and wisest 8th graders at the time said she felt like she had the gift of healing. My thought was “girl you are crazy, that doesn’t happen anymore” boy was I wrong.
Up until camp I had been in a boot for a stress fracture in my foot but I refused to take it with me so I was in quite a bit of pain for the whole week. When the week came to an end my youth group offered to pray for a miracle for me.
This young 8th grade girl put her hands on my shoulder and prayed to the Lord in a way that only he could know what she was saying and that night my foot popped and swelled and hasn’t hurt since!
WOW this was a huge eye opener for me. I had put the Holy Spirit in a box that needed to be broken down.
Even though my foot hasn’t hurt, it still isn’t formed to where it needs to be. But I know the lord is faithful and he isn’t finished yet.
At training camp for the race we have to go on a fitness hike. Yikes. It was brutal but the night before I was on my knees in worship asking the Lord to either heal my foot to be formed the way he intended it to be formed or to get me through the hike the next day.
My foot did not get healed that night but the Lord spoke to me and this is what he said “you are about to walk a walk of miracles and there is one waiting for you”.
When I went home after training camp I took a pit stop in Dallas, Texas to see my dear friend. While I was visiting her, her and her fiancé offered to pray for my foot. As we were praying, Andrew, her fiancé said he heard the lord say “you are about to walk a walk of miracles and there is one waiting for you”.
WHAT!! Our God is so so good.
So now to where my miracle has started to take place here on the race.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to go serve in a small community right next to Medellin. While we were there I got to help some of my teammates share about miracles and that we have a miracle working God.
I prayed over a woman who had shoulder pain and in return she prayed for my foot. This woman is an addict and doesn’t have the perfect relationship with with Jesus but who does? I know I don’t but he still works through me just like I KNOW he is working through this sweet woman.
Even though my foot still isn’t the shape that God intended it to be I know that by the time I go home it will be exactly where it needs to be. Because HE IS FAITHFUL.
I am only $2,559 away from being fully funded! If you feel lead to donate to me getting to share life and life abundantly with others it would be greatly appreciated! I also would love your prayers!
