Thank you for investing in my World Race trip. Thank you for believing in the work God wanted to do through me and the work He is still seeing to completion in my life. Thank you for believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you for saying yes to partnering with me in this beautiful journey.

As of July 29th, I AM OFFICIALLY FULLY FUNDED!

Y’all, this is a big deal. I started this fundraising journey in May 2016 and at the time thought to myself, “There is NO WAY I am going to be fully funded. Maybe I shouldn’t sign up because I don’t think raising $16,617 is possible.”

Fear held me back from believing in the impossible – believing in what God could do. Because when God calls you to something, He will provide and equip you with what you need to accomplish your calling. He is faithful.

And here I am. Month 8: in the beautiful mountain country of Nepal. I am so thankful to be here and have been humbled during this fundraising journey. Having to rely completely on God with finances was uncomfortable for me. I like being independent, I like providing for myself, I like being in control.

But, there was no room for God in that mindset. I wasn’t allowing God to have any say in my finances, until I came to a place where I needed Him to provide. I needed Him to show up. But I had a role to play as well. I had to put down my pride and ask people to join me in this journey, financially and prayerfully. It wasn’t easy. I learned that I had A LOT of pride!

And I did things that were incredibly uncomfortable for me – I spoke in front of 4 churches (not my home church) and told the congregations about my trip and the support I needed. I am not a public speaker in the least, and having an entire stage to myself with all eyes on me is extremely terrifying!

But when you put yourself out there for God, He shows up. He loves it when we trust in Him to provide, when we push ourselves to do these uncomfortable things, because that is an active faith life. And with faith in God, anything is possible.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

This is my fundraising journey. It was hard at times, and at other times so incredible to see God move people’s hearts to join me in this mission. So my question for you is: What journey is God calling you to? And in how is He asking you to be actively faithful in that journey?
