Peace (noun): one of the best gifts our Heavenly Father promises.

Peace is mentioned over 400 times in the bible.

Prosperity. Well-being. Harmony. Transforming. All words associated with peace.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. (Ephesians 2:17)

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

My prayers as of recently have been so rooted in this word.

PEACE. PEACE. PEACE.

Peace is such a simple word, a word that many people say and wish and pray, but oh it is so much more than anything our words can say. Peace is life changing, life breathing, and supernatural in all of its forms. When it falls, the worry, stress, and busyness of life lose their luster and our souls find time to know that all is well. Its the place where our hearts find the best rest. God’e peace is better than any alternate this world can offer, and oftentimes we find this out the hard way.

God has recently revealed to me a simple truth; that peace is exactly as He made it, a gift to my spirit. He is the Daddy who loves, gives, and blesses and as a child of His, we get to open up peace in Jesus. Peace in life. Peace in hardship. Peace in the storms. Peace in the uncertainty. Its one of His many gifts to us.

Life has been super crazy lately. I graduate in T-minus 32 days, complete my student teaching placement in 25 days, and I leave for the Race in approximately 37 days. I have gear still to buy, working through a visa process to complete, and getting ready to leave all I know for the sake of knowing Him greater! It’s ALL worth it and His peace is reminding me. The prayer I am praying and will continue to pray is peace. Because my human nature and the enemy want anything but peace. The enemy has been fighting tooth and nail to make sure that peace is the last thing I have. Throwing up fears, worry, stress, and just non-sense. I am claiming peace.

God says, YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN PEACE and its yours. You don’t have to live in fear, you don’t have to stress, you can choose to open my peace and live in it daily. It’s a gift. A gift that so often the world throws on the back burner because we want things our way, now, and in the fashion that makes life easy. But peace, peace comes from the source of life that speaks truth. He speaks life and says that as our Father, and as His child, He grants us peace. When the peace of the Father grabs our hearts, there is nothing greater than resting with Him.

May peace fill your day! It’s SUPER RAD!
