My first post is simple…BE BRAVE: My heart was designed for exactly this! Your heart was designed exactly for this.
All through the bible there are so many stories about being brave. Moses, King David, Abraham, Paul, and Peter; just to name a few. But as I get ready to embark on one of the most amazing, challenging, nerve wracking, life-filled JOY BOMBS of an adventure, I must remember to be BRAVE. Not on my own strength, but by the grace of Jesus.
Human nature pulls us away from being brave but Jesus pulls us towards His heart and His heart is exactly that…BRAVE! He gives us the power to love radically, live with purpose, never fear, claim victory, and truly live.
He reminds me of these two verses:
1) Ephesians 3:20: “Now to HIM who is able to do FAR MORE abundantly BEYOND ALL we ask or think, according to the power that works WITHIN us.”
2) 2 Corinthians 2:9-11: And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, I am strong.”
Talk about being called to be BRAVE. To believe He is at work, doing and writing more for us than we could ever believe and asking us to boast in out weakness, so He can unleash His strength. He gives us the power to be brave; HE made us brave. There are fibers within me, intertwined and telling me to be brave because He wired you to be nothing less.
