Today I received a care package from my sister in Missouri,she is there for the summer working at a Christian Camp. I have missed her so much but her simple act of kindness spoke deeply to me. She sent me two things in this care-package of sorts; 1) A Rapunzel coffee mug and 2) a mini Blessings of Joy Encouragement book. To many this gift means nothing, but to me it means the world. Daddy God,
Show me what you see when you think of me. I want to know your heart for me and to grow in deeper intimacy with your love and the knowledge of who I am in you. I want Your love to be a defining truth about me and speak volumes for how I live my life. So I pray you show me what you see when you think of me.
He is faithful and answers:
You are my sunflower
YOU ARE MY PRINCESS
A shimmer in this world
A light
But with those two gifts, Jesus is speaking to my heart. He, through a simple gift my sister sent. He reminds me that I am HIS princess and He hears the prayers we have. He is faithful to answer our prayers and never ignores our requests. He knows our heart before it feels and He is there for us through all of the uncertainties in this life. Through Disney Princess cups and little encouragement books, GOD SPEAKS!
