I Dare You To Move. I dare you to take a look at your life. I dare you to look beyond the surface and take a look at the whole picture. Where are you headed? What is the purpose in your life?

I came on The World Race to give back to the world, to make up for all of my past selfishness and truly serve God how he deserves. Little did I know that I would find myself  in center ring. God’s full attention on me. To my astonishment, He didn’t want me to perform at all like I thought I had to do all my life. I was striving to obtain this Christian life that was expected of me and was constantly falling short. Beloved “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8 Ohh, so no matter what I do or don’t do, it is not going to make him love me anymore or any less. I grew up knowing this, however in this season of my life it adds a whole new twist on things. In this center ring he only wants to love me for exactly who I am and for me to surrender my whole self to him unconditionally.

There is no one like him. I dare you to give Jesus a chance. He will change your life. I Dare you to lean on Jesus instead of yourself. I dare you to loosen the grip on the reigns of control. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. Romans 3:23 We are all broken, we are flowers quickly fading as time passes and this world keeps spinning. Who are you putting your hope and faith in? Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today, working in each one of our lives waiting for you to take his hand that is continually stretched out to you. He desires to have a relationship with you, as a friend as a father and has a lover. He created you to be with him. Will you receive him?

The world says you are free and living in life abundant with endless possessions, people and entities to fill desires that are never truly fulfilling and that never satisfy. Maybe for a short time, but in the end it doesn’t bring about freedom, it brings about slavery. Slaves to sin. It leaves us full of shame, regrets, mistakes, and the weight of the world.  Family and friends baring down on our shoulders with a heavy weight. Through Jesus, there is true freedom. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…” Galations 5:1

God wants to give us a life that is not burdened again by an ounce of sin, or any feelings that come along with messing up. He desires to give us a life full of joy and true happiness. These feelings are readily available because his mercies are new everyday and he has already forgiven all of our sins when he paid the ultimate sacrifice on the cross.

If I didn’t know God was real, why would I spend countless hours and dollars fundraising with blood, sweat and tears, travel completely all the way around the world living in less than desirable conditions, risk contracting Malaria, risk persecution for Jesus name, face my biggest fear of spiders (let me tell you there are some big ones), go without seeing my family and friends for nearly a year and leave without knowing anyone? I wouldn’t.

He called me to this awesome, amazing way of life that is not normal but extra-ordinary. I am visiting multiple famous cities, 11 completely different countries and viewing various ways of life entirely different from my own all within one year span? Who does that? Not myself, I could never come up with that amount of money or orchestrate that without God’s hand in it. God’s love is extravagant, God’s plans for each one of our loves are remarkable. One little leap of faith, brought me to second best decision of my life going on this trip. The first was accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.

“…I have come that they have have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10

I dare you to pray to God. I dare you ask him to reveal himself to you. I dare you to give him a chance. What is it going to hurt?
