So there’s this guy…

He’s rather cool, you see….

He likes to have dance parties with himself when no one is looking.

He stuffs food in his mouth so fully that he can’t close his mouth to chew.

He’s a really hard worker.

He’s a rock star DJ.

He’s an amazing photographer.

He prays to our Daddy like no one’s business.

He makes us laugh constantly.

He’s not afraid to ask us the tough questions. He tests our faith daily.

He’s a proud firefighter and EMT.

His name is Jared.

We’ve been on the same team with Jared since the very beginning. The three of us did training camp together, then launched ourselves into India and a world of painting. We’ve been together ever since. He knows us, and we know him. Of our original team, he’s the only one still with us. He’s not afraid to tell us when he’s frustrated, and laughs hysterically when need be.

We can’t imagine this Race without him. However, he’s in serious danger of being sent home. You see, He isn’t fully funded yet, and if he doesn’t raise the remainder of his funds by February 9th, he’ll be shipped home.

Jared has been such a vital part of our team. We’ve grown and learned so much from him. Things just won’t be the same if he leaves. He makes this Race. He is an asset to us and the team of Children of Light.

So you’re probably wondering why I’m writing this blog, huh? Well, he is still in need of $2,500. The deadline was January 1st, and AIM has extended his deadline. In all seriousness, though, if he isn’t fully funded by the 9th, he’ll go home. He CAN’T go home!

I’m writing to ask you to consider helping. Even $20 goes a long way. If you can spare anything to help our dear friend, please think about it. We need him on this Race. God called him the full duration of the Race, of this we are confident. Please help him in fulfilling this journey.

Below is the link to his blog. You can donate directly from his blog if you’d like. Under his profile picture, click on the tab that says “Support Me” and it will lead you to a credit card donation page. There’s a 3% credit card charge.

Both we and Jared are so grateful for your giving. I know it’s not something he’s taking lightly. He appreciates you so much, and so do we.
