Our time is almost over.
It’s just about time for us to pack up our bags and say our final “goodbyes”.
We’ll be flying home soon.
We’re coming home early.
You see, we have a final financial deadline approaching quickly, and we haven’t met it yet. We’re still $2,067 away from being fully funded. This final deadline, January 1st, is a strict one. It’s the deadline that could essentially determine the remainder of the Race for us. It’s the deadline that dictates where we will be in January. Here’s the deal…
…there were 4 financial deadlines set in place before training camp. We were blessed enough to have met 3 of them before we needed to. In the grand scheme of things, fundraising has been mostly easy for us. Since coming on the Race, it’s slowed down a bit, but that’s to be expected. We’re so grateful for the support we have received since being on the field. It’s encouraging to us to know that people are still thinking about us and still praying for us even though you can’t see or (usually) talk to us. And up until now, we haven’t had any worries on fundraising. However, this final deadline is crucial. If we don’t meet it, we get sent home.
We have been used by God in so many beautiful ways the last 6 months, and we are confident that He wants to continue to use us in the remaining 5 countries. Here are just a few glimpses of what He’s been doing through us:
-Buying bread and water for a begging mother, infant, and toddler on the sidewalk in Cambodia.
-Praying over a small boy with cerebral palsy.
-Prophesying over a man who doesn’t yet know Jesus.
-Preaching to women in Nepal about what it means to be a Proverbs 31 woman.
-Painting orphanages in India.
-Sharing Christ with two Hindu men on a bus ride back to our “home” in Nepal.
-Bringing healing to women who are afraid to share their past.
-Teaching our teammates about the “ins and outs” of marriage.
-Falling more deeply in love with Jesus.
-Learning what it means to be a man of God.
-Casting out demons in a woman in India.
-Leading a man to Christ in Thailand.
-Serving food to the homeless in Malaysia.
We would love nothing more than for you to be a part of the grand finale of our fundraising and to continue on this amazing journey with us. We’re so close to being done with something that started over a year ago. We can assure you that the day we see $31,000 in our account, we’ll cry with tears of joy and do a “happy dance”. That day cannot come soon enough. We’ve seen God do the impossible in our fundraising, and we know He’ll continue to provide the rest. He’s not going to come this far and then stop, and we know that He wants to use you to finish out what He started.
With the holiday season quickly approaching, we’re asking for everyone to please consider us in your giving as you go about your days. We simply want to thank you, like we always do, for being a part of something so vital to the Kingdom. Your giving is going further than you’ll ever imagine, more than we’ll ever imagine. We only see a tiny fraction of the fruit that is produced as a result of us being here. We won’t know the full extent until we’re Kingdom-side, but what an exciting day it will be to know what He has been doing!
We’re going to keep everyone updated up until the very minute we find out that we are fully funded.. We know it will happen. We’re so excited for that day!
