God likes to speak me through nature often.
I think he knows how much I love being in it, so it’s one of the best connections I have to understanding His indescribable love. Here in the bush of Swaziland there’s lots to see and explore. A couple mornings ago while I was doing a listening prayer, where I asked God the simple question “what do you want to show me today?” and I sat in the silence and waited for a response, the Lord brought this scenery and revelation to me…
No matter what morning will always come.
Clouds can’t even keep the sun from shining.
Even if it’s overcast,
the sun is so powerful that it shines through clouds without effort.
Even when we can’t see even a single beam it’s light out.
The sun is constant,
rising and falling day after day.
While clouds are stagnant, unpredictable.
They come and pass,
the wind wisps them away and they’re moved without effort.
The wind could never move the sun,
and it can’t move YOU.
You’re more powerful than the clouds that try to dull your shine.
Even in a gloomy place, your light shines ever so brightly.
Let the cloud of insecurity pass,
let the cloud of doubt pass,
command it to be blown away by the wind, and so it will be.
Take full dominion,
consume the Earth with light.
We know that a light so great can only come from one source,
the ONE source.
Let a rainbow reign on this day, for the sign of this covenant,
that God is our source,
The all-consuming light, that will part the clouds during a storm.
That will always bring light and joy in the morning.
