Hanging out in a Pollo Rey (like American KFC) here in San Juan, Dominican Repub. They serve beer here and have wi-fi, the States are really laggin behind on these incredible ideas.  We have started ministry here in San Juan in a slum north of town called Barracones. There are hundreds of kids there who all love to come out and play with us. If I had to guess I would say we have 100 running around us and screaming at any given point in time. They all love when we come because we play baseball, soccer, frisbee, jump rope and just have fun with them. We are working on a VBS, bible study session for kids, so they will learn that we are not just there to play but also share the love of God and salvation through Christ.

Hmm, what else? I am currently living in a 3 bedroom house with 45 other people. Seriously. 45 roommates. We are sprawled everywhere on the floor to sleep, the kitchen is always crowded and bathroom time in the morning is unbelievably precious.

It is kind of like the book of Acts meets the Real World.

We are all here living in community for a common goal to bring glory to God, yet we live in an extremely nice home in a nice neighborhood. We have about a 40 minute walk both ways to the ministry site, so we are getting some good exercise.
